Kingarrock Golf Course dates back to the 1920s but in the 1930s the parkland layout was plowed during the war. More than 70 years later, the course was revamped and reopened for play in 2002 after decades in use as a grazing pasture and for growing crops. The original layout was carefully researched in order to recreate the traditional design in the new golf course, which resulted in a wholly unique experience that players won’t soon forget. Golfers are provided with original hickory clubs, the exact same ones that were used in the '20s, complete with an old canvas and leather bag for toting as well as balls and tees. While Kingarrock sits only minutes from the famed birthplace of golf, St. Andrews, it provides a more authentic glimpse at how the game was played over a century ago.
