Given its seaside location overlooking picturesque farmland to the north and the Forth Estuary to the south, golfers would expect Scoonie Golf Club to be a traditional links layout but it is actually a parkland course. The stunning views of the surrounding countryside contrast nicely with the views of the sea. Long hitters might be disappointed since the golf course is quite short at 5,494 yards with the longest hole only reaching to 430 yards. It is a tight layout that is tough but fair. Accuracy is a necessity since players can find themselves facing a handful of problems from going even just a little wide. The club proudly boasts well manicured fairways and greens that are maintained to the highest standard. It is because of the excellent conditions that Scoonie Golf Club has garnered quite a following.
