So you didn't make the Old Course ballot this time around. That's why groups often book three or four days in St. Andrews alone. But if you don't want to play the waiting game, it's a near certainty you can still play golf even if you didn't book weeks in advance. St. Andrews and the Kingdom of Fife have one of the richest pockets of links golf anywhere.

The Fairmont St. Andrews Devlin Course in Scotland still has a somewhat "new" feeling in the home of golf. But the combination of golf and luxury at the resort can arguably be met by only one or two other destinations in all of Scotland (maybe Europe). And this would be true even if the resort were not located in the birthplace of golf. One of the best aspects is that the resort's courses are open to the public at very reasonable rates.
